Dayo Ade is an Actor, Producer and Writer.
He was born in Lagos Nigeria, West Africa but as a young child relocated to Calgary Alberta. After a few years his family picked up again and moved to Toronto, Ontario where he spent his formidable years.
Dayo began his acting career at an early age playing BLT on the hit Canadian teen series “Degrassi Jr. High”, which is an International Cult Classic and Franchise. Yes, this is the same show Drake came from but Dayo is one of the original cast members who paved the wave for Drake’s generation.
After working on “Degrassi” for 5 seasons, Dayo moved to Los Angeles to pursue his acting career. With over two decades in Hollywood, he has guest starred on shows such as “Lost”, “Bones”, “Animal Kingdom”, “N.C.I.S.”, “N.C.I.S. Los Angeles”, and “C.S.I New York”, “Scrubs”, “Alias”, “Star Trek”, and “Castle” just to name a few. He also played the role of MP Winston in the Feature film “Unthinkable”, starring Samuel Jackson and Godwin in the Feature film “Phat Girlz” starring Mo’nique.
Dayo recently returned to Toronto to play the recurring role of Dynasty on the critically acclaimed series “The L.A. Complex” for the CW Network. He concurrently played Leo Beckett on CBC’s hit cop dramatic series, “Cracked”.
Dayo is now recurring on SONY and Crackle.com new hit series “STARTUP” which premiers its second season Sept 28th 2017. Dayo plays Officer Jules who is introduced this season as the childhood friend of Ronald Dacey’s who is played by Edi Gathegi of Twilight, X-Men First Class and Blacklist/ Redemption. Start Up received great news while shooting Season 2 that they’d been picked up for Seasons 3 and 4 and was also bought by Amazon Prime U.K.
In addition to acting, Dayo is now producing and has several Television and Film projects in development.
